Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Mathews

Today's card is for two challenges PLUS it's for a friend of mine who got married recently. Congratulations Tiffany!
The first challenge for the card is this week's Sketch over at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. The second challenge is the Unity Bachelor Challenge (Week #2). Those requirements are:
Use Unity Stamps (Check- September KOM Go Wish)
Use One Piece of Patterned Paper (Check- PP from Making Memories)
Use something Shiny or Glittery (Check- Rhinestone on the ribbon to emulate a diamond ring)
Use Two Buttons (Check- they are on there!)

I am heading over to the newlyweds house for a reception, I hope they like the card....ok- it's more for Tiffany (girly and pink) than it is for her husband....but hopefully he will appreciate it too.

Friday Fun # 50 and Rubber Romance Sketch # 2

Happy Friday! I think this is going to be a GREAT weekend, don't you? This week our Friday Fun Challenge was issued by Kimme. Since it is her 12th Wedding Anniversary today (Happy Anniversary!!) we are to use at least TWELVE embellishments on our project. They don't have to be all different, you just have to use twelve. We would love for you to play along- Just use keyword FFC50 when uploading to SCS. Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Girls cards for more inspiration:

Sara

I also combined the challenge with the Rubber Romance Sketch Challenge. There's still time to play- and you can win free stamps! The contest doesn't until September 27, Midnight ET. Be sure to check it out!

I used the image Ally and Her Dog and colored her in with Prismacolor Pencils. I love this stamp- I imagine it is me holding the Yorkie I want one day........but no more "kids" for me right now. As you can see, I added a necklace and earring set on Ally and her dog has a silver brad for his tag. (That's how I fit all my embellishments in....ha ha.)

Thanks for stopping by today- I hope you make your Friday FUN and get to play some of these awesome challenges.

Reap Well with the Think Ink Tuesday Challenge

Happy Thursday! I am so thankful that today is the start of my "weekend." This week at work wore me out- there are lots of changes under way in the office. I am also thankful that I finally got to stamp and make a card to show you!
I incorporated two challenges in this card- the first is the Think Ink Tuesday challenge on the Artful Inkables blog. You have until September 28th to complete the challenge and a chance to win a grab bag of Artful Inkables Stamps! The recipe for the challenge is:
1 Image

2 Different Ribbons
3 Layers

And you must use scallops in some way!

I may have messed up on the one-image part. Oops. There's actually two and a sentiment.....but It looks better that way and I'm not eligible to win- so we're going to roll with it. ;) The images that I used are from the newly released set called Halloween Hauntings. I LOVE this set- it's a lot of fun!

For my layout I used this week's sketch challenge from the Crazy4Challenges Blog. They are doing awesome things on that blog!

Thanks for stopping by today- I hope you have a GREAT day!

Happy Fall! Here's Some Friday Fun with my Friends With Flair!

Happy Friday! I hope you are gearing up for a fantastic weekend. Don't you just LOVE this time of year? I know that I do- It's not hot and humid anymore, but it's not cold yet. It's perfect!

My card today is for Unity's Friday Friends with Flair (FFF) and for my Friday Fun Challenge with my Sassy friends. FFF is Unity's way of showcasing their customer's Unity creations every week! It's so much FUN!

This week's Friday Fun Challenge which is brought to us by Kimme is all about Fall. Here is her challenge: "Leaf me alone~ OK, not really. I was jus trying to be punny. As the leaves are beginning to fall from the trees and the colors of Autumn are around us, make a card with a leaf on it. Bonus points for using Earth Elements color family and extra bonus points if a real leaf is used." This week's Keyword is FFC49. We would love for you to play along with us!

I used Unity's newly released Autumn Pals for my card. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this set! The animals are soo cute! I did use earth tones and leaves on my card, but I don't get the extra points for using a REAL leaf. Oh well. It's all for fun anyway!

Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Girls' cards for more inspiration.

Fun and Friendly Sketch Challenge Card

Happy Thursday! Today I have a card using this week's Sketch Challenge on Split Coast (#245). I just thought this layout was really cool and had to try it out. I also used the recently released Stamp set from Artful Inkables Fun and Friendly. Oh yeah-The Artful Inkables website is all NEW so you should check it out! Kristin has been hard at work making it a great place to visit and browse.
Also- don't forget that you still have a chance to participate in Artful Inkables Think Ink Tuesday challenge HERE. You have until Midnight (Pacific Time) on September 14th for a chance to win a grab bag of Artful Inkables Stamps! If you don't have any AI stamps you can still play- but if you do and use them for the challenge your entry gets counted TWICE! How cool is that?

Ok...back to my card. I chose my paper because of all the great prints that reminded me of weaving. Of course, the colors just came automatically from there. The main image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol. I just have so much fun coloring with my pencils and with the 120 ct. set and a few of the latest colors- I rarely can't find the color I'm looking for. I attempted to make a bow on my card instead of my usual knot. Thank goodness I had this felt flower (that just happened to match) to cover most of it. LOL- I totally need a tutorial and lessons on making bows.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I'm a Girly Girl Who's Crazy 4 Challenges!

How about that for a blog post title? It will make sense, I promise. I made today's card for the challenge over at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. It's a great new challenge blog with some fantastic ladies on the design team including my friend Frances (Stampowl). Be sure to check it out- it's fun and they have sponsors!
This week's challenge is a sketch challenge and it is a great layout for a card! I pulled out some Rubber Romance stamps that I have been wanting to get inky for a couple weeks now. This is Babs (ATC size) soaking in a bubble bath. I love this stamp. It might be because I am a Girly Girl at heart who doesn't have time for indulgences like bubble baths very often anymore. I paper-pieced the tub with the same patterned paper I used on the base of the card (see below) and then colored the rest of the image in with Prismacolor Pencils (love those!) Then I accented some of the bubbles, the scallops and dotted my eyes with pearls. You can't be a Girly Girl without some bling, right? Stamps: Rubber Romance Babs
Ink: Brown Stazon; Close To Cocoa
Paper: Chocolate and pink CS; PTI White; Basic Grey Porcelain PP
Accessories: Pearl stickers by Mark Richards, Oval and Circle Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Border Punch and Chocolate Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by today- I ALWAYS appreciate it!

Happy Saturday! Today I have a card that fits two challenges. The first challenge is the Unity Kit of the Month Challenge. Just use images from the July or August Kits of the month and use the colors Orange Purple, Green and Black. For more details check out this thread HERE. The second challenge in this card is Weekend Sketch Challenge # 96. I loved this layout and had to try it for myself.
I used the August kit of the Month Following my heart......I just love this kit!! All card stock and Accessories are from Papertrey Ink.

I also want to remind you that the Etsy Inspired Challenge is celebrating its first birthday. There is a blog hop and prizes! Be sure to check it out- that is what I will be working on next!

Friday Fun # 47- Back to School!

Happy Friday! It's that time of year again- Back to School Time! This month Kimme is our ostess and this is the challenge she has for us this week Back to School: Use school or office supplies on your project such as paper clips, spiral punches, mini folders, tab punches, etc.

I took it a step further and used a school house on my card. LOL. I just had to use the school house from Unity's August Kit of the Month Following My Heart. Then I used my spiral punch and a library clip. The background is Faux Wood and the notebook paper is from Making Memories. What do you think?

We would LOVE (please please) for you to play along with us! Use keyword FFC47 when uploading to Splitcoast and feel free to leave a comment on one of our blogs with a link. This is all about fun and we can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Girls' Blogs for more inspiration:

South of the Border Thursday!

Happy Thursday! Today I have a festive card to share with you using the Artful Inkables recently released set, South of the Border. This set has so many possibilities- I really love it a lot! . My parents moved to Arizona 15 years ago so I have lots of ideas for projects and cards using it. As soon as I saw the cactus image I knew I had to make a card with it using green and pink. I have been fortunate enough to see Arizona in all four seasons - but Spring is the best. The desert blooms and it is beautiful.

I stamped the cactus with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils. I have to tell you that those pencils are one of the BEST investments I have made for stamping. They are easy to use (yes, really) and you can find good deals on the pencil sets if you look for them or have a coupon (which is how I bought the 120ct set). I stamped the image again and just colored the flowers. Then I cut them out and popped them up. The layout is from this week's sketch challenge on SplitCoast (#244).

If you have never ordered from Artful Inkables before let me tell you about the quality of these stamps. They are deeply etched red rubber and they come mounted on cling foam. They arrive in these easy to store clam shell cases. The images stamp very cleanly and crisply which is what I like. You can use them with any kind of acrylic block you have on hand. If you don't already own acrylic blocks Artful Inkables has some great prices on blocks HERE. The prices of the stamp sets are unbelievably low. You get 16 adorable images in this set for only $13 plus shipping! Wow!
I apologize if I sound like a commercial, but if you are a regular reader of my blog then you know I always appreciate a good deal. Until I used Artful Inkables stamps, I didn't know how reasonably priced and how fantastic they were. I feel it is my duty as a stamper and a friend to let you know! LOL!

I hope I inspired you today and I appreciate that you took some of your time to visit my blog! Thanks for stopping by!!

Think Ink Tuesday Challenge # 2

Artful Inkables has a new and exciting challenge for you. Holly is challenging us to make a box or bag. I finally used my Scor-Pal for something other than scoring an A2 sized card (it's about time!) I decided to make a 3x3 note card box using THIS tutorial on SCS. I was intimidated at first, but it was fun and easy. I also made 3 note cards to go in the box using the newly released set, Fun and Friendly.

Be sure to check out the Artful Inkables Blog for more details on the challenge and how to play along. I am sure Kristin will make it worth your while. ;) Use keyword AIC02 when uploading to Splitcoast so we can find your creations! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Stamps: Artful Inkables Fun and Friendly
Paper: SU Close to Cocoa, Naturals Ivory; My Minds Eye PP
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Scor-Pal, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Primas, Buttons, and Distress Stickles
