Etsy Inspired # 124- TooCute Kawaii

What a cute store we have for this week's challenge!  TooCuteKawaii has the cutest little jewelry and more! There were so many cute items to choose for my inspiration but I finally settled on these cute little buttons.  I'm not sure if it is appropriate OR inappropriate since I help run the Smithfield Foods fleet of trucks.....but anyway- they are too cute.

Here is my card- I used the Artful Inkables set, Down on the Farm with Card Patterns Sketch # 99.  (here lately I seem to NEED a sketch to work with......yikes)
So now it is time for YOU to play along!  One lucky winner will win these cute CUPCAKE EARRINGS from TooCuteKawaii.  Another winner will win 4 digi images from our sponsor, Meljen's Designs! All you have to do to play is choose an image from TooCuteKawaii as your inspiration, make a project and link it on the Etsy Inspired Challenge Blog.  For more details on the challenge and how to play be sure to Check out the EIC Blog.  Also, be sure to check out the Design Team's creations for more ideas and inspiration- It is Rachel Hope's last week as Guest Designer- and it was so GREAT having her on the team!  Be sure to give her lots of love today!

Etsy Inspired # 123 - Nanny's Room

It's Saturday and that means it is time for another Etsy Inspired Challenge.  This week's shop is Nanny's Room. This shop features watercolor works of art- some of which you can wear! One lucky winner will win a necklace of their choice. They are also offering up a discount for everyone:  Use Code "etsy10" at checkout for a 10% now through Jan 31st. You are sure to find something to inspire you. I found lots of beauty in this store to inspire my project for today:
The colors from the store made me go to a barely used kit I bought a long time ago from Making Memories called Chloe's Closet.  The colors of the kit reminded me of the bright and cheerful colors from the store.  I used last week's Card Patterns Sketch #98 for my layout. There is NO stamping on this card.  That is crazy for me!  But it was fun and easy!
This week's Sponsor is The Twinery.  One lucky winner will win a trip pack- 3 spools of your choice.  That is a value of $42!  Want to win one of the prizes?  Choose any item in Nanny's Room for inspiration and make a card or project.  Link it to the Etsy Inspired Challenge Blog (see blog for deadlines and details) for your chance to win one of the prizes! Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's blogs for inspiration and ideas!

That's all I have for today- have a wonderful weekend!

Friday Fun with Limited Supplies and Friends with Flair!

Happy Friday!  I am excited to have a card for TWO Challenges plus Unity's Friends with Flair!  Today's Friday's Fun Challenge is hosted again by Jimmi.  She sent all of us supplies for us to use on our cards or projects.  She sent the Friday Fun Girls this bag of goodies:

How cool is that?  See the stamp set?  That is Unity's new Itty Bitty called A Thing of Beauty.  I was just drooling over this stamp the other day so to find it in my pack was such a great surprise! The paper is from Bella Blvd. I decided to use this week's Hip Hop Sketch (#41) and sign up for Friends With Flair.  Be sure to stop by the Unity Stamp Co Blog for a complete list of Unity's Friends with Flair!

Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge with Instyle Stamps!

Good Morning!! Today I have a card using this week's Sketch Challenge from SCS (#316) with a soon-to-be released Digital Image  from InStyle Stamps!  I had such fun with this image (I love butterflies) and since it's a digi image I could make it as large or small as I needed for my project.  I colored the image with my Prismacolor Pencils- I forgot how much I love my coloring with my pencils, it is so therapeutic!  I also finally threaded my sewing machine.  I hadn't touched it since I moved and I must confess- I had to watch the video again on how to thread it.  But I got it!

I added a sentiment with glitter chipboard from Pink Paislee and some pink ribbon from my stash to complete my card.  The patterned paper is from K&C Company- Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse collection (I love this fun and funky paper).
Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to come by tomorrow for some Friday Fun!

Friday Fun- A Book Challenge

It's time for some Friday Fun.  This week, Jimmi has challenged us to make a card or project based upon/inspired by the book you are reading or last read (or a favorite).  I recently discovered that my phone has a Kindle app so I have downloaded quite a few freebies and several other books to my phone.  Having said that, I have yet to read most of them.  A book I have started and I am trying to apply to my life as much as possible is How to Shop for Free by Kathy Spencer.  I am only on Chapter 2 (I think) but using some of the principles in the book I saved over $50 the last 2 weeks on my grocery bill.  Keep in mind, that is for a family of 1 (and 2 fur babies) so that is actually pretty darn good.
Since the theme of the book is shopping I decided to pull out the Retail Therapy set from Paper Makeup.  Oh, this set is bags and boxes of fun.  I combined the Friday Fun Challenge with this week's Mojo Monday (#173) sketch and this is what I came up with:

 Stamps: Paper Makeup Retail Therapy
Paper: Mark's Finest Paper Corn Husk and Breezy Blue; Webster's Pages Patterned Paper
Accessories: Ribbon from Mark's Finest Papers; Nestabilities, Brads

We would love for you to play along- it's all for fun! Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Girls blogs for more inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today- Be sure to have some Friday Fun!!

EIC # 121- La Pomme

Good Morning (or afternoon or evening depending on when you stumble upon my blog)!!  Today I have a card for the Etsy Inspired Challenge - we are up to # 121 already!!  Can you believe it?  This week's featured Etsy Shop is LaPomme.  Even if you don't want to play the challenge, you HAVE to check this shop out!  It is full of vintage items for all tastes. The store is also offering a prize package of vintage music sheets, a vintage tin and plush fruits to one lucky winner (boy I wish I could win!!).  I had a hard time deciding on which image to use for my inspiration, but I finally decided on this:

I think what inspired me is pretty obvious.  When I saw this photo I thought of this wonderful stamp set I have from Mark's Finest Papers called Take the Time/Father's Day.  I love the pocket watch image- it is truly timeless, just like the inspiration item.  I cut the card stock (also from Mark's Finest Papers) to look like pieces of ribbon.  I completed the look with Ranger Crackle Accents to give it that vintage look.

This week's sponsor is The Stamp Fairy.  The winner of this week's challenge will receive 3 Digi Images of their choice from the store.  There's some super cute stuff in this store.  Be sure to check it out so you know what images you want to win (or buy if you don't).  :)
If you don't know how to play the Etsy Inspired Challenge, it is EASY as PIE!  Just choose an item in this week's sponsor shop, La Pomme and create an item based on that image.  You can be inspired by colors, lines, whatever.  It is open to interpretation and creativity.  Have FUN!!  Just link your  creations to this week's post on the EIC blog for your chance to win.  For more details, please visit the EIC Blog HERE

Still not convinced you can or should play?  Check out the rest of the Etsy Inspired Design Team posts for more inspiration!

Friday Fun is BACK!!!

It's a New Year and time for the Friday Fun Challenge again!  This week's challenge is hosted by Jimmi and she is starting us off with an inspiration challenge.  I must say, this challenge was very difficult for me.  I am still trying to get back into my groove and find my routine after moving and working my weird schedule.  It makes me sad that stamping used to be 2nd nature to me and now I am struggling.  It's like starting all over again!  But I will get back to where I was.
Jimmi's challenge this week is to make a card or project inspired by this Chinese New year place setting:

I tried to incorporate the colors and textures in my card along with using this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS # 314. The image and sentiment is from PaperMakeup Stamps.  I've had it for awhile and I have really been wanting to use it on a project.  I am sure you will see it again!

Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Girls' Blogs for more inspiration.  As always, feel free to play along- there's no prize it's just for FUN.  (I guarantee you will enjoy this challenge!)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Tomorrow is the Etsy Inspired Challenge and you will not want to miss this week's challenge.  The inspiration is a lot easier than today's picture.  LOL.  Have a great day and some Friday Fun!!

Etsy Inspired #120- Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!  I am very excited to start this year off with a new project.  I have been on an involuntary hiatus for the past months due to my work schedule.  But I am stamping again- apparently I didn't forget how to do everything.  It will take me awhile to get back in the groove again, but I am on my way.

This week's Etsy Inspired Challenge shop is Muffa The shop features the cutest hand-crocheted miniature creatures.  I have no idea HOW she can create these tiny and very detailed creatures, but they are amazing.  I chose THIS cute creature for my inspiration for my project.

This week's sponsor is Dude Time Doodles.  They are offering a prize package of 4-8 never before seen images.  That's right- in addition to the prize from the Muffa Etsy Store- the winner of the challenge will receive images from the upcoming release before anyone else can see them.  Isn't that awesome?

For more details on the challenge and prizes please visit the EtsyInspired Challenge blog.   Also be sure to visit all of the EIC DT blogs for more info and inspiration. (see sidebar)  That also includes our fabulous January Guest Designer, Rachel!  She is totally sweet and awesome so make sure you stop by and give her some love, ok?
