Friday Fun # 29 and a Special Invitation!

Happy Friday! I hope you are up for some Friday Fun because this Friday will be more fun than EVER!! In addition to our challenge this week we also want to give you a special invitation to come to Vegas with us for the weekend!! You don't even have to leave your stamp table to enjoy all the fun and excitement because Split Coast VSN is bringing it to YOU! To kick off the mini VSN on Saturday there is a special extra SURPRISE challenge tonight at 8pm hosted by some SCS ROCKSTARS- you will not want to miss it. It's such a surprise, I don't even know what the challenge will be! The challenges Saturday will be broken up into two Shows with an intermission in between. The festivities start at 10 AM EDT on Sat and continue through the day. You can find out all you need to know and how to play here: Viva Las VSN April Mini. For this week's Friday Fun Kimme gave us this challenge: April Showers-May is just around the corner. Celebrate the April Showers by using rain dots, dew drops, or some sort of Chrystal Effects or other glaze pen to mimic our April Rain Showers. I used dew drops on my card and I used some flowers to bring in May....ok I used the flowers because I just got them and I love them....but it works, right? ;)
We would love for you to play along with us- just use keyword FFC29 when uploading to SCS so we can find your card in the gallery! Check out the other Friday Fun Girls blogs for more ideas!

Unity Addicts Challenge # 31

Good morning and Happy Thursday! I hope you are ready for Hip Hop in the Unity forum today!
I am posting my card for the Wednesday Unity Addicts Challenge today. Yes, a day late....and I'm a dollar short too. :) The challenge was issued by Taylor and it was to make a 4.25" square card with NO sentiment on the front. I love these kinds of cards because then you can stamp whatever you need on the inside. I used the March Kit of the Month Simple Life. It is my favorite kit so far...until I get the April kit.

Stamps: Unity Simple Life (KOM-March)
Paper: SU Marigold Morning, Cool Caribbean, PTI White, DCWV Pocket Full of Posies DP
Ink: Marigold Morning and Cool Caribbean
Accessories: SU scalloped border punch, American Crafts ribbon and paper flowers, MM Rhinestone brad

Happy Easter

Good morning and Happy Easter. My post is short today because I have to go to work....at 6 am! Yikes! My card uses two different Unity Easter stamps. Vibrant Eggs and Bitty Easter Blessings. First I inked the two outer eggs fully and the middle egg partially and stamped onto white card stock. The bunny was stamped over the middle egg. Then I stamped the eggs onto two different pieces of patterned paper. I paper-pieces the two outer eggs and cut out the middle egg from it's patterned paper. I used decorative edged scissors to make the egg looked like it "cracked open' and the bunny is popping out. Yes, I know chicks come out of eggs, not bunnies- but hey- if the Easter Bunny can bring millions of children candy and gifts in one night then he can pop out of a decorated Easter egg, don't you think? ;) The inside of the card says "Some Bunny is Thinking of You" and "Happy Easter."
Stamps: Unity Vibrant Eggs and Bitty Easter Blessings
Paper: SU: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, DP, PTI White
Ink: Black Stazon, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue (markers)
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Scissors, buttons, Dimensionals, Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you and your family have a wonderful day of blessings.

It's Black and White Chic

Happy Saturday!

Today I am trying to get in some stamping time and make some Birthday Cards. I recently realized that I don't have very many of them. I decided to make a Black and White card mostly because I wanted to play with my Making Memories DP. It's very chic, fun and gender neutral. Gotta love that!

Stamps: Unity Birthday Chic
Paper: PTI White, Making Memories DP
Ink: Black Stazon
Accessories: Stardust Gelly Roll Pen, Black Satin Ribbon, Nestabilities, Corner Rounder Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by- Have a wonderful Easter Weekend!

Prayers and Thank Yous

Happy thursday to you. I've got some new projects to share with you today. First up, is a Thank You card. I made a set of six of these to send to my Dad. He needs some thank you cards to send out to all the friends and family that helped him out when my Mom passed. I tried not to make it too feminine since they are from my Dad but since they are also (kind of) from my Mom I wanted them to still be pretty. I tried to keep them simple so I could mass produce them but my inner-embellisher came out and I had to add paper-piercing, brads, and STICKLES.
Stamps: Unity Feel The Joy and Simply Said
Paper: SU: Certainly Celery, So Saffron; PTI White
Ink: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, So Saffron
Accessories: Saffron brads and Ribbon, Stickles, Paper-piercing tool

The next card can be used for a Sympathy or Get Well card. Unfortunately, I have needed too many of these lately. Hopefully all my friends and family will stay healthy and happy for a while! I love this card- but I want to make cards for more happy occasions!!

Stamps: Unity: Linden Branch, Simply Said, and butterfly from a past KOM
Paper: Kraft, Old Olive, PTI White
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Kraft Ribbon, Aged Copper HPH, Nestabilities, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, Martha Stewart Border Punch

Of course both these cards use my favorite stamps- Unity! Be sure to join us today(and every Thursday) in the Unity Forum on Splitcoast for Hip Hop! It is sure to be inspiring and FUN!

Friday Fun #26 with a Hip Hop Hangover

Happy Friday! Yesterday we had so much fun Hip Hopping in the Unity Forum! Everyone shared their baby and childhood pictures. I thought I would share this family picture with you today. As some of you may know, I recently lost my Mom. To me, she was the BEST Mom in the whole world. This is what she had to work with: My sister (who is also deceased), me (I am about 6 here), My Brother, My Great Grandmother, and that handsome guy is my Dad! We were quite a handful but she managed to keep all of us in line....somewhat. ;)

This week for the Friday Fun Challenge Kimme is going to be our hostess! Actually, she will be hosting every Friday in April. She's got a bunch of great challenges lined up for us, but I am only going to tell you about this week's challenge now. ;) No cheating! Here is our challenge:
April 3-Spring Garden-The bulbs in my garden are beginning to bloom. Spring is in the air! This week create a card using your floral stamps. Even if you aren't a flowery person we all have a couple in our stash

I am ready for Spring so this challenge is perfect for me! I used Unity's March Kit of the Month for this card. I just love this flower. I also went a little crazy with the colors, but like I said before, I am ready for Spring! The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket- it was just so much fun to play with! I also used Amber's fabulous sketch from the Unity Forum this week: USCSC18

Be sure to check out the rest of the Friday Fun Girls' cards and play along with us too! Use Keyword FFC26 when uploading to SCS! Have a great Friday!
