Did Somebody Say Martini?? hmmm....

I inked up my favorite Martini Girl from Rubber Romance! This is one of (if not THE) first Rubber Romance images I purchased. I love her, I think all Diva stampers should have her. :)
I colored her with my Prismacolor Pencils. If you have never tried using Prismacolor Pencils, I have a tutorial on the Rubber Romance blog HERE.
After coloring her, I cut her out and and popped her up on the embossed layer.
I also used my Bow Easy (again) to add a bow and button to the ribbon. I might be addicted to that thing, I'm not sure! :)
Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate it. I hope the rest of your weekend is totally FANTASTIC!

Friday Fun # 55 and a FUN Surprise

Happy Friday! I am so excited to share this week's Friday Fun Challenge with you. This week's Challenge was from Kim. She is no longer participating in the challenges due to family issues. We will miss her very much and hope she comes back when things are better for her. She was actually one of the original Sassy girls who came up with Friday Fun challenges. We do however, have someone else joining in the challenges and I hope you will be as excited about it as I am and welcome her. Christi Snow at Altered Ambitions is our newest Friday Fun girl!

The last challenge Kim issued to us for the month of October was to use the colors Orange, Purple, Brown and Green in honor of Halloween. BUT we are adding a twist to the challenge- it CANNOT be a Halloween card.

So....I used Unity's October Kit of the Month, Wherever You go... and some really cool paper I got from Darcie's Country Folk (there is nothing country about their products) at a local stamping show. What do you think?

Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Girls blogs for more inspiration. We would love for you to play with us- just use keyword FFC55 when uploading to your SCS gallery.

Artful Inkables Thursday Down on the Farm

Happy Thursday!! I have a card to share with you today using the Artful Inkables newly-released set Down on the Farm. I was REALLY excited to get this set in the mail from Kristin. I have been wanting a farm set for quite some time and could not find one that I liked. This one is PERFECT. It even has the tractor stamp that I have been dying to have.
Of course since I am a fan of International Harvester farm equipment red is the only color I could possibly use for the little tractor. :)

I also used this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS (#252) for the card. I thought it was perfect for the little farm scene. The patterned paper is Basic Grey's June Bug. Did you notice the bow? I bought the Bow Easy at a stamp show last weekend so I might start using bows more often.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to come back tomorrow- we have a new addition to the Friday Fun Challenge and you are sure to LOVE it!!

Think Ink Challenge- Out of your Box!

It's time for a new Artful Inkables Think Ink Challenge! This challenge is brought to you by ME! I want you to step out of your box (or my case step into it) and create a 3-d item OR try a technique you have NEVER tried before. This is the perfect time for you to try that one thing you have been wanting to try but haven't had time or have been too intimidated to try. If you need ideas there is a great Resources page on SCS with lots of tutorials you can try. Be sure to link your project to the Artful Inkables blog for a chance to win a grab bag of Artful Inkables Stamps. The challenge runs through November 9th so you have LOTS of time to play!

Now I really stepped WAY out of my box for my project today. I created an Acetate Box to hold some treats. The tutorial for this cute box can be found HERE. I used the newly-released stamp set A Bird's Song. I just love this set!

I used the "Thanks So Much" sentiment so this box can be a Thank You gift. It was actually a pretty fun project to put together.

Thanks for stopping by today- I hope you enjoyed my adventure into box-making! Have a great day!

Friday Fun and Friends with Flair!

It's Friday and that means it is time for the Friday Fun challenge AND Unity's Friends with Flair.
This week's Friday Fun Challenge is to pick a box or container tutorial and make it. Now.....you know how much I love to make boxes, right? LOL. I searched the SCS Resources page and found this Box In A Bag tutorial and thought, "Hey, I can do that..." So I did. If you want to play along with the Friday Fun Challenge (and we would love it if you did) just use keyword FFC54 when you upload to SCS so we can find your bag, box or container. Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun Girls' Blogs for more inspiration.

I can tell you that it is a bargain at that price- it is packed full of a variety of adorable images that are sure to keep you stamping for a long time. Be sure to check out the sale- Angela is giving away the store!! She's the most generous person you could ever meet!

What's Moo?

Happy Thursday! So What's Moo with you? Today I have a Milk Carton Box I made using the newly-released Artful Inkables Set, Down on the Farm. Now, if you follow my blog at all you probably know that I am "box" challenged. I rarely use my Scor-Pal for anything besides scoring card bases- BUT the cow from this set just MADE me have to make a Milk Carton Box! I won't lie, it took me several (or more) attempts and I wasted quite a few pieces of card stock that will now be in my scrap pile, but I think in the end it is worth it. I created something out of my comfort zone AND it's just too cute!

I colored Bessie (that's what I am calling her) with Prismacolor Pencils and then cut her out with my Nestabilities.
I also stamped the sentiment "What's Moo?" on the sides of the box and attached a border and ribbon.
I think it turned out pretty cute and I will have to try more boxes in the future. (after I replenish my card stock....lol) But this box would be perfect to fill with Milk Duds or some other treat and give to a friend.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day and that I see you tomorrow for some Friday fun!

Rubber Romance Card Swap

I hope everyone is having a great Monday.....or as good as a Monday can be. Today I wanted to show you the card I created for a swap using one of my favorite Rubber Romance images. Yes, that's right- I love margaritas and margarita stamps. No, I am not an alcoholic.....lol. You can purchase Rubber Romance Stamps HERE. Robin has the BEST customer service- I promise you will not be disappointed with her or the quality of the stamps.

The image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS. To accent the drinks I used Crystal Effects on the glasses AND Frosted Lace Stickles on the rim of the glass. They seriously look good enough to drink IRL.
Here is the inside of the card- I LOVE this sentiment. It really is true. These cards are just for fun and I hope my fellow swappers like them as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by today- have a great Monday!

Boo To You!!

Are you ready for Halloween yet? I miss celebrating Halloween and Trick or Treating with little kids. I know some people don't care for Halloween, but in my opinion, it is what you make it. To me, it is just a day to dress up and eat candy and have fun. I will have to cut back on the candy this year, though.
I created this little gift set today with the Artful Inkables set Halloween Hauntings. I just love this set for Halloween projects. It's got the right combination of spooky and fun. The set contains a wall decoration, box of candy and a 3x3 gift card. For the box I started with a wedding favor box I picked up at the local party supply store. I covered the box with patterned paper and stamped the haunted house on the lid with Black Stazon. Then I filled it with Hershey's Special Dark chocolate...my favorite.

The wall hanging was made with a 4x4 chipboard coaster covered with patterned paper. I cut the paper to size and then sanded the edges. I think I may make one of these for my office at work- we could use some festiveness there. This card is just a little 3x3 card created using the same paper. It literally took me 2 minutes to put together.

Stamps: Artful Inkables Halloween Hauntings
Ink: Black Stazon, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI Hocus Pocus, SU Pumpkin, Black

Wine- The Gift that Keeps on Giving!

Happy Columbus Day! If you have today off, I hope you do something FUN. If you are at work like I am......well I feel your pain. As you read this, I am in the middle of a 12 hour work day. Fun, I tell ya. :)

Today I have a little project to show you. If you know me at all, you know I LOVE wine. Red wine is my favorite. So when you go to dinner at a friend's house a bottle of wine is a good gift to bring with you. But....what if you add something extra special to go with the wine- like a chipboard tag?? What better way to make your gift stand out amongst all the other hostess gifts?
For this tag I covered the chipboard with some Graphic 45 paper. The image and setiment are both from Rubber Romance. You can check out Robin's store HERE.
Here is the front of the tag:

and here is the back of the tag. Yes- it really DOES say. "Wine gets better with Age, I get better with Wine." ha ha. I LOVE that!! It's so true- at least for me!!
Thanks for stopping by today- I hope I inspired you to do something a little extra with your wine bottle..(I know, drinking it is usually good enough...LOL)

Also- I just thought I might mention that today is my BFF Jimmi's Birthday. Make sure you stop by her blog and wish her a Happy Day!! :)

Easy Gift Idea

Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is turning out to be great. You may have noticed that it's been a week since I have posted here. I have been pretty sick with a sinus infection but- I am starting to feel human again and I finally made it to my stamping table!

Today I have a Christmas ornament to show you that I made using the Artful Inkables Set Holiday Treats and Tails. This set is GREAT for everything Christmas. I really wish these pictures did the ornament justice, but they don't. I used a favor tin that can be bought in packages at your local hobby and craft store. I punched holes in the tin with my Cropadile and attached the ribbon. The present image is stamped on the front with Black Stazon then colored with Bic Mark Its from the inside. Once dry, I put a circle of designer paper inside and some glittery "snow" and sealed it up with Crystal Effects.
On the back I added a circle of matching Designer Paper (both prints are from Basic Grey) and then put the sentiment on the back as well. To add a little extra zing I put some Dew Drops the outside.

Voila! You have a easy and ornament or gift to give to friends or co-workers. It is relatively inexpensive to produce as well, so if you have a lot of people on your list you can play Santa without breaking the bank.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is also my post for Unity's Friends with Flair. I used the newly-released kit Embellished Season. This set is so beautiful and the stamps are HUGE so it is perfect for scrap-booking too! I don't know if you can see it in the picture (and I honestly did not give it time to dry, either.) but I put Stickles on the two smaller bulbs and Crystal Effects on the larger one to make it looks like a real glass ornament.

Thanks for stopping by today- I hope to see you tomorrow for WCMD. Have some Friday Fun!

Think Ink Challenge

Happy Thursday! As promised on Tuesday, I have a sample for the latest Think Ink Challenge. The challenge is to use something that SPARKLES on your card. Not too hard, right? You have until October 13th to complete the challenge. You don't have to use Artful Inkables Stamps however if you do- you get to enter your project TWICE for a chance to win a grab bag of AI stamps! For more details on the challenge and requirements visit the Artful Inkables Blog.

For my Sparkle Card I used Bucky the Beaver from Holiday Treats and Tails. I just love this guy- isn't he adorable? I added my sparkle by using Stickles on some of the lights and Frosted Lace on his hat. If glitter isn't your thing- stickles makes it easy to add just a few accents here and there without making a mess (as long as you let it dry before touching it, that is....ask me how I know...) or making your card look like something from Las Vegas.

We hope you play along with us- thanks for stopping by today!
