Think Ink Sketch Challenge

Today I have a card for the Think Ink Challenge #15.  This week Holly issued a sketch for us to follow.  You can get more details on the challenge on the Artful Inkables blog. 
I used one of the recently released sets called Sexy and Sweet.  I love this set, and one day my boyfriend might get surprised with this card.  ;)  It's all in good, clean fun.  Seriously.

Think Ink Challenge- Going Country!

Last night my best friend and I went to go see Country Artist, Luke Bryan in concert and it was great! So my card is a little country because I am still in the country mood. :)

Think Ink- Think Spring!

The new Think Ink Challenge Challenge is to Think Spring. I don't know about you, but I am ready for Spring. January and February are cold and dreary and I am ready for sunshine, warmer weather, and flowers. I don't have any flower stamps from Artful Inkables, but I do have the fabulous Birthday Best set. My birthday is in the Spring I chose that set and I used bright and fun colors that remind me of Spring and all the things that come with it. This also fits with this week's Sketch Challenge (SC264)

Think Ink Challenge #11

Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend- are you excited? I already on my weekend and I am loving it. This week a new Think Ink Challenge was issued by Artful Inkables customer DINA KOWEL, and she wants you to MAKE A MONOCHROMATIC CARD

For my card I used the AI set Warm Drinks for Cold Days. The teapot and cup were paper-pieced with coordinating designer paper - Everafter by Cosmo Cricket.

I used lace trim and pearls to add to the elegant feel the paper gives the card. What do you think?

Think Ink Challenge- Time is running out!

Artful Inkables Think Ink Challenge is coming to an end tonight at Midnight Pacific Standard Time. You still have time to play for a chance to win a grab bag of Artful Inkables stamps (and who wouldn't want one of those??).

Think Ink Challenge- Out of your Box!

It's time for a new Artful Inkables Think Ink Challenge! This challenge is brought to you by ME! I want you to step out of your box (or my case step into it) and create a 3-d item OR try a technique you have NEVER tried before. This is the perfect time for you to try that one thing you have been wanting to try but haven't had time or have been too intimidated to try. If you need ideas there is a great Resources page on SCS with lots of tutorials you can try. Be sure to link your project to the Artful Inkables blog for a chance to win a grab bag of Artful Inkables Stamps. The challenge runs through November 9th so you have LOTS of time to play!

Now I really stepped WAY out of my box for my project today. I created an Acetate Box to hold some treats. The tutorial for this cute box can be found HERE. I used the newly-released stamp set A Bird's Song. I just love this set!

I used the "Thanks So Much" sentiment so this box can be a Thank You gift. It was actually a pretty fun project to put together.

Think Ink Challenge

Happy Thursday! As promised on Tuesday, I have a sample for the latest Think Ink Challenge. The challenge is to use something that SPARKLES on your card. Not too hard, right? You have until October 13th to complete the challenge. You don't have to use Artful Inkables Stamps however if you do- you get to enter your project TWICE for a chance to win a grab bag of AI stamps! For more details on the challenge and requirements visit the Artful Inkables Blog.

For my Sparkle Card I used Bucky the Beaver from Holiday Treats and Tails. I just love this guy- isn't he adorable? I added my sparkle by using Stickles on some of the lights and Frosted Lace on his hat. If glitter isn't your thing- stickles makes it easy to add just a few accents here and there without making a mess (as long as you let it dry before touching it, that is....ask me how I know...) or making your card look like something from Las Vegas.

Reap Well with the Think Ink Tuesday Challenge

Happy Thursday! I am so thankful that today is the start of my "weekend." This week at work wore me out- there are lots of changes under way in the office. I am also thankful that I finally got to stamp and make a card to show you!
I incorporated two challenges in this card- the first is the Think Ink Tuesday challenge on the Artful Inkables blog. You have until September 28th to complete the challenge and a chance to win a grab bag of Artful Inkables Stamps! The recipe for the challenge is:
1 Image
2 Different Ribbons
3 Layers
And you must use scallops in some way!

I may have messed up on the one-image part. Oops. There's actually two and a sentiment.....but It looks better that way and I'm not eligible to win- so we're going to roll with it. ;) The images that I used are from the newly released set called Halloween Hauntings. I LOVE this set- it's a lot of fun!

For my layout I used this week's sketch challenge from the Crazy4Challenges Blog. They are doing awesome things on that blog!

It's All Black and White.....with some Red

Happy Thursday! Today I have a project for the current Artful Inkables Challenge. In case you didn't know, every other Tuesday a Design Team member will issue a new challenge. The best part is- you have a chance to win some stamps for participating!

The current challenge runs through August 31st Midnight Pacific time and all you need to do is to make a card or project using the colors Red, Black and White. Once your project is posted in an online gallery or on your blog link it to this post HERE to for a chance to win a Grab Bag of Artful Inkables stamps!

I decided to make a Post-It Note Holder for the challenge. I used the new release South of the Border which is one of my favorite sets! It's so versatile and you get a lot of stamps for the price.

The holder is made using two chipboard coasters and covering them with paper. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes and set the jumbo eyelets. I then threaded the ribbon through the holes and tied them. I left a little bit of slack in the ribbon to make opening the holder easier. Next, I took my stamped image and added it to the front. I have a confession....I did use a tiny bit of green on the peppers. I just had to. ssshhhh!!

Once the Post It note holder was decorated I just took some Post-its and put them inside. To make sure they stayed put, I used a tiny bit of glue on the back piece of paper.

I added my finishing touches including Stickles and a popped up Chili Pepper that I stamped and cut out. Voila! I now have the perfect little gift to give someone that I happen to think is "Hot Stuff".
