I Got Crafty! (don't fall over in shock)
If you are reading this post today, you are probably as shocked as I am, lol. I haven't posted in AGES...but my niece, Shelly came over this weekend and wanted me to make a project with her. She wanted a photo collage for her bedroom that included pictures of us, HER nieces, her boyfriend and friends. Now you may know that I am a card-maker and not a scrap-booker so it was a challenge to me at first....but once we got started it wasn't much different than card-making. Shelly got really excited when she realized that we could cut the pictures into shapes with my Nestabilities instead of just using scissors or my paper trimmer. Once we started going through my Nesties the project took on a whole new (exciting) life.
We made "flowers" out of her nieces (my great-nieces who are super adorable) so the theme of the page became flowers. Yes, that is a picture of Shelly and I making a silly face. I told her I must really love her to let her take that picture! I used assorted stamps from Unity Stamp Co. to add the sentiments to give it a personal touch. She chose the paper out of my stash- it's from a Stampin' Up 12x12 pack from several years ago. I even used my sewing machine on the project. Here is the project all framed up:
I would love to know what you think about our project. I think I might have a future stamper in my family..... :) Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
