After a a day and a half trying to get a flight out (darn winter storm) I finally made it to Arizona last night. My original flight was scheduled to leave Sunday afternoon but I ended up flying in on the same plane as my brother 24 hours later. It has been exhausting to say the least- but I am here in one piece and that's all that matters.
I had a bittersweet moment this morning. Many of my truly wonderful SCS friends have sent cards to my Mom. I had the pleasure of opening them and reading the kind and thoughtful things that everyone wrote. Thank you so much for your warmth and generosity. I have truly "met" some wonderful people and it is amazing to me how kind everyone is to someone they barely know. SCS is a group of truly amazing and strong women (and some guys too) and I feel so blessed by your support.
Thank you for everything!! It means more to me right now that you can even imagine and I am cyber hugging you back.

I know how it is to lose your Mom... It's been almost five years and the void is still open. There's so much of my life I would love to share with her.. and so much she would have enjoyed! I wish you the best... I wish you special memories. Be well.
