TGIBF!! This is my favorite day of the year. Black Friday- the best shopping day of the year! My best friend Jimmi and I are running around like maniacs hoping to get some great deals at all our favorite stores.
Today's Challenge is brought to us by Christi Snow and in honor of my favorite Holiday she has asked us to make black and white cards with one accent color. I made my card with images for Rubber Romance using the Glitter Window Technique. If you would like to see a tutorial on how I made this card please visit the Rubber Romance blog.
We would love for you to play along- just use keyword FFC59 when uploading to SCS so we can find your card. Be sure to check out the other Friday Fun girls' blogs for more inspiration:

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day with their friends and family. I have so many things to be thankful for and my best friend is one of them. I am going to her house for dinner this afternoon and she is even going to let me help cook. (ok, really I am just going to do what she tells me to do...lol)
I just have a quick card for you today. This card literally took about 10 minutes to create (minus drying time). I saw this paper from Memory Box and knew I had to use this little guy from the Artful Inkables set, License to Chill. It looks like he's tubing down the hill! I covered him with Crystal Snow and I used Crystal Effects on the tube to give a shiny look
I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Thanksgiving!

Think Ink Challenge- Time is running out!
Artful Inkables Think Ink Challenge is coming to an end tonight at Midnight Pacific Standard Time. You still have time to play for a chance to win a grab bag of Artful Inkables stamps (and who wouldn't want one of those??).
The challenge is to make a tag. Easy, right? Yes it is- so get to stamping! If you don't have AI stamps, that's ok too. Play along and you can win some! You can find more details on the Artful Inkables blog HERE.
For my tag I used the newly-released AI set, Love Ya Lots. The paper is from My Mind's Eye - have I mentioned I did a little retail therapy? It's the best kind, especially when you find a GREAT sale, and I got a great deal.

Merry Christmas Card Tin
Happy Sunday! It's been a crazy week for me and my days off have been super busy- but with FUN stuff. I got to go out with my best friend and do some much-needed retail therapy along with eating fattening and delicious food. Sometimes you just have to be bad to feel good, kwim?
I actually made this project last week but didn't have time to take a good picture and blog it. Can you believe it? This tin wasn't that hard to alter, but due to my work schedule it took me several days- but in total maybe a little over an hour (not including drying time for the Flower Soft and Stickles and picking out the designer paper which always takes me forever...)
I used some Christmas Stamps from Rubber Romance to make this tin. I just love this Diva in the Santa hat and the sentiment.....get your mind out of the gutter! LOL. It's a cute and fun sentiment for Christmas. Robin has put some GREAT new stamps in her store including this Sassy Diva.
The tin is the perfect size to organize Christmas cards or give away some Holiday treats. I'm not sure if I am going to give it away or keep it.....I kind of like it.
Thanks for stopping by today- I hope the rest of your weekend is totally FABULOUS! :)

This Set is SNOW ADORABLE!!
Happy Thursday! The Nor'easter was last week, but I am still recovering from it. The storm made work a complete nightmare and forced me to work 14 hour + days. But I survived an I start my 3-day weekend today so all is well and I finally got to finish some projects I've been working on.
Today's project uses the newly-released set from Artful Inkables called License to Chill. I just love this set and I squealed with delight (yes, really) when I saw that Kristin was sending it to me. I had to use this little penguin first because he is adorable. I also used this week's Sketch Challenge (#255) over on SCS for my layout. So what do you think? Isn't he SNOW adorable? I think so. Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget tomorrow is Friday Fun challenge day AND the Twilight blog hop! It will be a fun and exciting day!

Friday Fun # 57- Setting Your Table
TGIF! It's time for another Friday Fun Challenge- brought to us by Christi. She challenged us to make some Place Cards for our Table. I am not planning on cooking for Thanksgiving this year- actually, so far- I don't have any plans at all. So I just made two little place cards that can be used for any occasion this Fall. I used my Top Note Die and folded it into a little card. The stamp is from Unity's September 09 Kit of the Month, Go Ahead....Wish. This kit is so awesome and while you can't get it at the awesome Club price any more- it is still a great deal.
You can play along with us - Just use Keyword FFC57 when uploading to SCS so we can find your creations or link to one of the blogs below. (Jimmi will not be playing this week but I am sure she would appreciate some love on her blog anyway!)

Stamps: Artful Inkables Down on the Farm
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; SU Close to Cocoa
Paper: SU Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa: PTI White and Chocolate Remix
Accessories: Ribbon, Thread, Button, Bow Easy, Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.
Thanks for stopping by today- I hope if you are on the East Coast that you are staying dry! Have a great day!

A Little Leftover Weekend Fun
Are you ready for Monday? For most people that means the end of fun and back to work. I went back to work this morning and since this is my short week, Monday is my Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. I did manage to fit in some weekend fun by playing the Weekend Sketch Challenge on Beate's Blog.
I just wanted to make a fun, Fall card for no special occasion. I pulled out Unity's Autumn Pals for my card and paired it with my Memory Box Twiggy patterned paper. the little squirrel is stamped on Close to Cocoa paper with PTI Fresh Snow ink. Then I paper-pieced some of the patterned paper on him too.
I'm not completely sure how I feel about how this card turned out- but I know I enjoyed making it and it helped keep my mind off some of the things I am dealing with right now. That's the most important thing, right?
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment- I always appreciate it!

How About a Cutie Pie Treat?
Today I have a very special project to show you using stamps from Rubber Romance's Cutie Pie Line. These stamps are just so cute. I made a card using the Sketch Challenge on the blog. Did you know that you can win some fabulous RR stamps for playing? You still have time to play - just link your creation to the blog post HERE by Nov. 9th Midnight Eastern Time.
I also made a Chipboard Coaster book to go with the card. Yes, really. I just thought the card would make a great baby card and that a book would be perfect to go with it, so I took a deep breath and went for it. It was actually a lot easier than I thought- and fun too! You can check out Beate's tutorial on SCS Here if you want to try it too. Now if only I knew someone having a baby so I could give them this set.......
Here is just the Sketch Card:
and here is the chipboard coaster book:
See- it even has pages!
Thanks for stopping by today- I hope I inspired you to try something new.

Artful Inkables Thursday- A Bird's Song Sketch Card
Happy Thursday! I apologize for my post being late today. I have just finished working 5 12-hour days in a row and I was too exhausted to make my card last night, and not awake enough to make a quick one this morning. I had trouble getting everything to come together just like I wanted BUT I finally got it. I had an idea in my head of how this card should be and I wasn't going to settle for anything less. I hope you like it.
I used the newly-released set from AI called A Bird's Song. I just love these birds. It is a great set with a lot of potential. I also used this week's Sketch Challenge from SCS (#253). I just thought it was a neat layout and perfect to showcase one of this set's images.
I chose the Cardinal because they are such beautiful birds, and I saw one yesterday driving while down my street. Actually, it was IN the street but luckily it flew to safety. Phew!
I used a lot of different items on this card to get it how I wanted. (see list below) I hope you like it- despite the length of time it took to create, I truly enjoyed creating it. Thanks for stopping by!
Stamps: AI A Bird's Song
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; PTI Pure Poppy
Paper: Kraft, PTI White and Pure Poppy; Basic Grey June Bug PP and Graphic 45 PP
Accessories: Top Not Die, Prismacolor Pencils, PTI Pure Poppy Ribbon and Button; Linen Thread
